Random Beauty… Lovely Lashes with Inika Mineral Mascara

Finding the right mascara can be a bit tricky at times, so hopefully I can lend a helping hand. I’ve been road testing the 100% natural mascara from Inika. With bold claims of a special 2 in 1 brush, giving long, thick and natural lashes, I was keen to give it a whirl.

Inika is more than just a make-up brand, it’s a statement. All 100% vegan, cruelty free and certified organic; Inika products are safe, natural, ethical and environmentally conscious. These values are all very important to me when choosing brands, and mirror my ethical lifestyle choices. For that reason, I was very excited to try out this mascara.

So, onto the brush details. A special 2 in 1 ‘Double-Z’ brush is the big feature here. It has a lengthening edge as well as a volumising edge. If you look at the image below, you can see this more clearly.

I love it – use on side of the brush to get the thickness and definition you want, then use the other edge to lengthen and ease out any clumps (I find there are some on occasion). Your lashes are hardly going to jump off your face and knock anyone out, but it gives a nice, natural definition. It lasts all day, and it doesn’t drop off or smudge everywhere. Definitely no panda eyes.

With the combination of good quality and good ethics, it’s easy to see why Inika is a huge hit with celebrities such as celebrity fan base including Stella McCartney and Emily Deschanel.

It’s £19 on the MyPure website. Not the cheapest mascara on the market, but definitely one of the purest and most ethical. If you want a good look, without harming your skin or the planet (and of course the lovely animals), you can’t go wrong with this one, in my opinion.

I was sent this product free of charge from MyPure for review purposes. All opinions are my own.
