Happy New Year everyone!
For those of you who are looking to eat out this New Year, catching up with friends, there’s a great vegan Christmas special on the high street, and I’m not sure how long it will be around for, so head to your nearest Le Pain Quotidien and snaffle up their Organic Vegan Pie – it’s also gluten free, which made me get very excited and I didn’t even look at the rest of the menu!
Stuffed full with a bean-based cassoulet, the crumbly pastry simply melts in the mouth. With an accompaniment of perfectly cooked seasonal vegetables (namely carrots and potatoes) it’s a wonderfully satisfying meal for any vegan.
Hats off to Le Pain Quotidien, who once any cater not only for the vegan, but for the gluten free vegan.
My hubby also went for the mince pies (also gluten free) which are vegan if served with soya cream. I myself went for an old favourite, the chocolate chia pudding and an almond milk matcha latte.
There are always good options for vegans in Le Pain Quotidien (and the matcha latte and chia pudding are firm favourites), but if you want to try this Christmas Special I’d say you need to act fast!
