Green & Sustainable – Native Unearthed Deodorant

Native Unearthed prove that our ancestors didn’t smell, and not only that, they were far smarter than us. We spend hours of our days mixing up chemical concoctions, when our ancestors knew that what they needed was already provided by the earth. They used natural volcanic crystals with exceptional properties, and no side effects or toxicity.

A range of natural, crystal deodorants, with added herbs/plants to give extra benefits. There’s no mixing, blending or magic potions involved in the making of these products. Just pure, raw crystal and plant power.

I tried the brand new Curcuma Longa variety – this plant has been used in Ayurveda and Chinese medicine for centuries, and has a range of anti-inflammatory and antiseptic properties. A perfect ingredient for putting onto your sensitive underarm skin.

It’s really easy to use – it comes as a dry stick, so you have to moisten it under the tap to use, or apply to wet underarms. Don’t try and rub it on dry – you’ll look – and feel – like a frustrated idiot!

It has no real smell when applied, so if you’re already a little musky under the arm, don’t panic, it’s not the deodorant that smells like that, it’s you! The mineral salts have anti-microbial properties and they’ll soon have you odour free, as the growth of bacteria will be prevented. It’s a hard thing to imagine from a stick of crystal, but it really does work. A totally effective and instantly drying deodorant (the water is gone almost as soon as you apply it) and it lasts all day. I’m so impressed! I can imagine it will last almost forever, as it seems I hardly use any at all each time!

Native Unearthed  are not only the masters of making you smell nice, they’re also an incredibly concious bunch. They use only 100% recyclable and reusable packaging, none ingredients are derived from animals, they refuse to test on animals, and their website is 100% powered by wind. How cool is that?

You can buy one of their deodorant sticks for just £6.49  on their website and there is a discount for members of the Vegan Lifestyle Association (which is free to join – see link below). A bargain for a seemingly never ending smell buster! You can also purchase via Ocado.

This review has been organised by the VEGAN Lifestyle ASSOCIATION. It has not been paid for and the products were sent free of charge. This is my genuine and unbiased review of the product.

Native Unearthed is listed with the VLA and offers Associates a 10% discount and you can take advantage of this here
