Beautiful & Responsible Jewellery…

If, like me, you are a conscious consumer, you are likely to put effort into researching each and every product you purchase, to make sure it is ethical, environmentally friendly and fairly traded.

I recently had the pleasure to discover Green Tree Jewelry, a USA based company who make their jewellery in San Diego California, from sustainable resources.

These three wonderful pairs of earrings are made of birch wood sourced from Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) certified forests, and stained with water based dyes (vegan friendly). Their packaging is also made from recycled materials.

The FSC promotes environmentally appropriate, socially beneficial and economically viable management of the world’s forest. Forest stewards manage the landscape to prevent damage to eco-systems, watersheds, wildlife and the trees themselves.

Sustainability in this context means the forest should still be there for future generations, provide a safe home for wildlife and absorb carbon emissions.

Green Tree Jewelry are therefore playing a really important role in preserving our environment, and you should always ensure when buying wood products that they are sustainable by looking out for FSC certification.

I absolutely love these earrings. As they are made of wood, they are really light and the ear wires( silver finished stainless steel) don’t irritate my skin like many others do.   My absolute favourite pair are the Sugar Skulls. I’ve already received so many wonderful comments when wearing these.

There is a huge range of affordable earrings, bracelets and Steam Punk themed jewellery on Green Tree Jewelry’s website, it’s hard to decide which to choose. I’ll definitely be buying some Christmas presents from them later this year!

These products were sent to me free of charge for review purposes. All opinions are my own.
