Did you know that 7 million disposable coffee cups are thrown away every day? Of this staggering figure, less than 1% are actually recycled.
Ethical coffee brand Percol have started a petition to request that the government makes all disposable cups recyclable.
Percol offer fairtrade coffee, with an organic range, and a carbon neutral supply chain. They plan for their offices to be 100% solar powered by 2019 and completely plastic free as soon as possible.
They’ve already introduced guilt free coffee pod capsules, which are plant based and compostable. I still prefer loose filter coffee, so I’m eagerly awaiting their plastic free packaging for that.
So, if you want to change the future of coffee drinking, sign the petition and save those cups going to landfill.
