Make a Brew with Totem Tea

As many of you know by now, I am a total tea addict. With an entire wall of tea stacked shelves, my husband wonders will there ever be a gap appear, or will I just keep stuffing one more bag or one more box in, until in a jenga-like fashion, it all collapses and one of us – or the cat – gets buried under it?!
Anyway, I’m always on the lookout for fantastic new ethical companies, especially those lovely little home-grown brands. I was delighted therefore, when I discovered Totem Tea – a lovely company, whose teas are all organic, ethical and environmentally friendly.

The bio-degradable pyramid bags are hand filled, so there’s a little bit of love in each bag. I think that’s rather special.  Company founder and owner Virginie says that tea has always felt like a hug in a cup, and she’s worked hard for you to feel that hug too – she even makes the most adorable animal packaging to put a smile on your face.

Totem Tea comes in a range of different flavours – including apple-cinnamon, mango-orange, strawberry-melon and a happy tummy tea. My absolute favourite has to be the happy tummy tea, as my tummy is often in need of some extra love and TLC.  All of the flavours were rich and satisfying, and each had an individual flavour – something not always found in bagged teas.

All Totem Teas are part of the Ethical Tea Partnership which looks after the tea growers as well the environment, most of the teas are organic, and the packaging is compostable (including the pouches, clear bags and tea filters).

Virginie was inspired enough to make my tea-infused rice pudding recipe using her cinnamon-rooibos flavour – it’s very easy to make and tastes fantastic. Why not give it a try?

Thanks so much for reading. Have a beauTEAful day!

Tea samples were gifted to me, free of charge. All opinions are my own.
