I just love it went you find a new brand that are so perfectly aligned with your ideals. An important part of my daily life is being able to choose ethical, sustainable products which do not cause harm to any living being.
Amaranthine is one of those brands – producing natural skincare and beauty products, completely free from synthetic ingredients and cheap fillers, and from organic sources where possible. They are also a socially conscious brand, with many of their ingredients fairly traded. Their organic shea butter is sourced from a cooperative in Ghana, and all their products are certified palm oil free. Many of the products are packaged in glass, or recyclable plastic.
Beauty products feel much more luxurious when you know they are ethically sourced and made. More luxurious than any product with a huge price tag or famous brand name. As we are reminded from this beautiful quote, there’s no beauty or luxury in suffering.

I had the pleasure of trying out their beautiful sea buckthorn and neroli body creme. It’s packed full of omega fatty acids, vitamins and antioxidants, and it’s 100% vegan and cruelty free. It’s a really solid butter, but it soon melts in your hands and melts into the body – absolutely divine. I find it particularly soothing on dry or sun-exposed skin, and it’s perfect for after hair removal. With no water or fillers, it’s super concentrated and lasts a long time. At £17.95 a tub, I think it’s superb value for money.

Amaranthine products are handmade in small batches, in Edinburgh, Scotland, and this ensures a high quality of product. I can’t wait to try the rest of the range.
