Tea. Most of us love tea. How do you drink yours, green, black, loose or in tea bags? Regardless of the type or style, I prefer mine to come without a side of plastic. In fact, I’d prefer mine to be completely zero waste – naked as the day it was picked from the tree. I don’t want my tea to leave a trace after it’s gone.
Some tea bags contain plastics, in the manufacture of the bag itself. Some are wrapped in envelopes, which contain plastic blended with paper. Some loose teas come in plastic wrappers, inside paper boxes, or in foil lined pouches which can’t be easily recycled. So what’s an environmentally conscious tea lover meant to do?
Zero Waste Tea!
Leaves of the World are a completely vegan, organic and ethical tea brand. They wanted to create a new way of looking at tea, of feeling tea, and of experiencing tea. They want to make the world a better place by creating a great emphasis on the environment, and humanity. All of the teas are packaged into biodegradable bags, which can be composted at home.
All LOTW teas and ingredients are sourced from organic farms and plantations that support the growth and natural habitat of their surroundings and our planet. The cultivation of organic tea is better for the planet’s natural eco systems and the environment. Organic farms support up to 50% more wildlife, so in drinking this Conscious Tea, you are doing your bit for the environment, natural wildlife, as well as for yourself. Organic has a maximum of 4, water based approved fertilizers, none of which are ever tested on animals, which is a very important consideration for this vegan company.
And they don’t just make any old tea, oh no. Of course, if fancy flavours aren’t you’re thing they have the most delicious loose leaf black teas. However, what I really want to draw your attention too this time is their fabulous Christmas Cracker Collection.
My three favourites are listed her – the chocolately, cherry tones of Rudolph’s Magic Flying Potion, the rustic apple taste of Lappland Wanderlust and the creamy delight that is Spiced Pudding. You can find out more about these fabulous blends on the website, and purchase them in time for Christmas.
I’ve teamed up with Leaves of the World to offer you the chance to win 4 bags of their delicious teas – The Big Breakfast, Rudolph’s Magic Flying Potion, Spiced Pudding and That Fig ‘n’ Peach.
