It’s the time of year for baking tasty treats – and scoffing them all in front of the fire!
So, how about trying out my super simple recipe for tea infused, chocolate rich brownies. They are totally vegan and gluten free, and wonderfully indulgent. You’ll be in for a real treat, and it doesn’t make too much mess in the kitchen.
For this recipe, I’ve infused the plant based milk with black tea blend, Santa’s Brandy Cake from Leaves of the World. A rich, black tea, inspired by traditional Christmas cake. It adds a subtle, yet seasonal hint of spice.
Don’t forget, you’ll need time to infuse your tea into your milk.
Ingredients:
360g Organic Dark Chocolate
200ml Plant based Milk (your choice)
3 teaspoons of Leaves of the World Tea – Santa’s Brandy Cake
150g Coconut Sugar
200g Almond Butter
5g Baking Powder
230g Gluten Free Flour
Method:
Infuse (cold brew) 3 teaspoons of tea into your plant based milk for at least 6 hours. Preferably longer.
Melt the chocolate and milk together in a dish over a saucepan of water.
Add coconut sugar, almond butter and baking powder, mixing well, until you have a paste.
Mix in the flour.
Line and baking tray and evenly pour in the brownie mix.
Bake for approximately 40 minutes, at 180 degrees centigrade, and allow to cool before cutting and eating.
